Botany and Plant Physiology, master Study

The graduate has a good theoretical knowledge in biological sciences, especially in botany and plant physiology as well as basic methodical abilities for research in biological laboratories or in landscape.

Students receive accommodation according to regulations passed by the University Administration of P.J. Šafárik University in Košice.

Applicant is accepted into the maste’s programme without an entrance exam, if the master programme is a acontinuation of the bachelor study programme in the same subject, and if the applicant passed a state examination with the required result equivalent to the state examinations of the bachelor study programme of the Faculty of Natural Sciences at UPJŠ. The standard study-period of the master study programme in that case is two years. If the applicants do not meet the criteria listed above, they can be accepted into the master’s programme on the basis of the results of an entrance exam. In that case, the standard study-period is two or three years. The standard study-period is decided on the basis of the results of the entrance exam and the relevance of the bachelor programme the applicant graduated in.
